Hi there! Thanks for taking a moment to learn about the studio and who is behind the camera. I've been fascinated with photography for as long as I can remember. Like many photographers, I got a camera at a young age, and fell in love from the start. I started with little point and shoot cameras to my first SLR, that was gifted to me in high school by my Dad. I've always carried around a camera (or two), because I never want to miss a moment.
I thoroughly enjoy getting to share my craft with others and I take great pride in delivering tangible goods to my clients. Tangible goods can observed and enjoyed from day to day or on special occasions. Whether it is a printed portrait, gallery wrap, book, or album - it is readily available, displayed, and admired. And most of all, those tangible items will outlast technology, as technology is obsolete and ever changing. But, that archival print, if taken care of, will more than likely outlast your lifetime. Tangible items or let's just say, "printed portraits" are important and the "printed portrait" is not dead and is not going anywhere anytime soon. Which takes me to another point on sharing my craft, I enjoy teaching the importance of portraits and why professional printing is important. If you'd like to know more and dive into that subject, contact me and we can meet at the studio to chat about it (I'm always up for a snack at one of the local Downtown Smithfield restaurants...)
I also like to advocate to Shop small & shop local. Shopping local small businesses keeps our hometown economy growing and that's always a good thing. <3
