I always preach that prints are important... I originally posted this in November 2016 without the video embedded. I've updated the post in September 2018 with the video here with episode information. This is a good episode! I loved this show so much.
The family computer crashed and it's not baked up... The box of old photos is missing... Frankie is crushed. From Season 7, Episode 10, "No Silent Night" of The Middle (ABC).
Frankie Weeps After Losing All of Her Photos
My Favorite quotes from this episode (what you don't see in this clip):
Mike: "How many times have I said to print them out, Frankie? Just, Print them out??"
Frankie: "I keep hearing about a cloud. Do we have a cloud?"
Mike: "Just the black one, over our heads."
Mike: "Look, you only need six pictures in life anyway; born, first day of school, first car, married, first kid, funeral."
Sue: "What about second kid?!"
Brick: "Or third?"
Mike: "Babies look like babies..."
Frankie: (GASPS) "Babies! Where are the baby pictures?! Where are the pictures from eight years ago and before?? Before they all went digital?!
Sue: "You LOST those TOO?!"
Frankie: "No, no, no, no, no, wait. I think I have them in a box somewhere. Like ah, ah, knock off Sride Rite box from when you kids were little. I think it was like Stride Mite, Stride tight. Oh my god, I haven't seen it in forever. We have gotta find that box. Ok? It's red or blue. Everybody JUST START LOOKING!!"
Mike: "Really, Frankie? Are we really gonna do this now? It's Christmas Eve and you're running around making yourself a wreck over some pictures. Relax. Nobody's dead...
Frankie: "YES THEY ARE!! Fifteen year-old Sue is dead. She's gone and we will never set eyes on her again now! And what about ten year old Axl when he was sweet and he liked me?... He's gone too! There were thousands of pictures Mike, THOUSANDS!! ((and chaos continues to ensue throughout the house))
Sue: "It's not my fault! It's technology's fault!!" ((The computer crashed because she took a family Christmas portrait and tried to upload it to the computer))
Frankie: (Crying) "I can't believe it! My great grandkids are not going to know me as young as pretty... Just old and GROSS!"
Sue: "What? No. Mom your pretty! You're so pretty!
Axl: "We'll describe your beauty to our kids."
Brick: "I can write about it! I wrote a good sentence once."
Frankie: (Sobbing) "I just... I can't even speak..."
Frankie: "What are pictures anyway? Little moments of time we freeze so you can save em' forever... But sometimes, the memories that really stick with you are the ones you'd rather forget."
And, you'll have to watch to find out if they find the old box of photos...
