Howdy! If you didn't already know my across the street neighbor... meet Jud, part owner of Oak City Collection
I stopped in Oak City yesterday while I was perusing downtown snapping a few shots here and there... and I ended up staying awhile. Since I was browsing about downtown I had asked about photographing the exterior of his shop and the more we chatted, like we usually do when I pop in, I ended up deciding to do a spotlight on Oak City Collection (OCC). If you haven't physically visited OCC yet, first you can't miss it. It's the pretty yellow building on South 3rd street, but if you need directions -- traveling West on Market Street (coming from Clayton) turn right onto South 3rd and OCC is on your immediate left. It's on the same block as Jewels and Howell on the far end.
They've got an eclectic mix of products that not only make great gifts but the perfect thing to pick up for yourself, too. You name it from: soaps, jewelry, key chains, cards, books, fun wall art, bird feeders, mugs, home-made, NC-made, handmade or even Oak City-made (personalized gifts are available, too)... I really enjoy coming in, browsing and picking up something new. Or another big box of that Killer Toffee...
Well, check it out for yourself. Be sure to check out their pages if you haven't already! Images can be enlarged and viewed individually outside of the collage below. If the slideshow is blurry, adjust the quality by the gear. Thank you and enjoy!
